Southern California Public Sector Account Manager, Cisco Systems
Shams has spent the last 17 years working in technology with K12, higher education and other public sector organizations. He has collaborated with dozens of Superintendents, Deans and Campus presidents across the Western United States.
Shams and his team have helped streamline processes, implement network and
physical security solutions, automate procedures and other solutions that helped drive tens of millions of dollars in savings. Most recently he has worked with Cisco and several school districts to help implement Cisco Academies. Shams is a UCLA graduate with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. During his time at UCLA, he studied abroad at the American University in Cairo. He also has complete the Chief Business Officer (CBO) program (public education finance) at the University of Southern California (USC). Today Shams sits on several boards including the Educational Innovation Alliance (EIA) which is in partnership with the Association of California Administrators (ACSA) and the California Association of School Business Officers (CASBO) and the California Association of Latino Superintendents (CALSA).
