Superintendent of Schools, Walnut Unified School District
Dr. Robert Taylor is the Superintendent for the Walnut Valley Unified School District. Under Dr. Taylor’s direction, Walnut Valley has been recognized as one of the premier school districts in the United States and recently named the #1 school district in Southern California. The schools in Walnut Valley are perennial leaders in academics, the arts, and STEAM initiatives (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics). Diamond Bar High School was recently awarded with the distinction as the Best High School in California and all 3 Walnut Valley middle schools have received national recognition in the past year. Additionally, this past November, Walnut Valley successfully passed a $153 million School Facilities Bond. Dr. Taylor received his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University and his Bachelors’ Degree in English from the University of Redlands. He has previously held various leadership and teaching positions in the Corona-Norco, Yucaipa-Calimesa, and Moreno Valley school districts.
